Curriculum Vitae: Prof. Dr. Albert Ziegler
Albert Ziegler, PhD, is a Chair Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany. He has published approx. 300 books, chapters and articles in the fields of talent development, excellence, educational psychology and cognitive psychology. Presently he serves as the Secretary-General of the International Research Association for Talent Development and Excellence (IRATDE) and as the Editor-in-Chief of Talent Development and Excellence. His main interests in the field of talent development and excellence are the development of exceptional performances, the Actiotope Model of Giftedness and motivational training programs.

Albert Ziegler ist Generalsekretär der internationalen Begabungsforschervereinigung (International Research Association for Talent Development and Excellence, IRATDE) und Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Pädagogische Psychologie an der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Prof. Zieglers Publikationsliste umfasst ca. 300 in 17 Sprachen übersetzte Bücher, Zeitschriftenartikel und Buchkapitel, darunter das 2008 bei UTB erschienene Buch ?Hochbegabung?. Er ist Herausgeber mehrerer Buchreihen (z. B. Talentförderung-Expertiseentwicklung-Exzellenz und Schulpädagogik) und wissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften (z.B. Talent Development & Excellence). Forschungsschwerpunkte im Bereich Hochbegabung und Exzellenz sind das Aktiotop-Modell, Motivationsförderung, Lernprozesse sowie Bildungs- und Lernkapital.
